I agree with everyone’s comments here. It’s disappointing to see this thread go back as far as 2020 with no response or remediation. While overall, I really appreciate the flexibility of this platform, but will say this is one thing that specifically stands out to me as a glaring oversight. When there are so many colors displayed it degrades the perception of professionalism of the software and the business using it.

Hi Community! Thank you for your continued feedback on the ability to select the same color for different status labels. We’ve noted all of your use cases and understand the importance of this feature.

Although we do not have this feature on the product roadmap at this time, our roadmap continues to change due to evolving capabilities and capacity, and we may be able to add this feature to the roadmap in the future. We will update you in the coming quarter with any changes to this status. We appreciate your input and will continue to prioritize this feature with all of you in mind!

I find it so odd that this is not something that Monday would not accommodate. I can’t imagine that it would be so hard to keep the full spectrum available in the status column, so that users decide how much color they want. My users call Monday “cartoony” and I agree that, especially if you have many status fields, you don’t want or need all of them to have unique colors. Please re-assess.

Agreed that this is needed - it’s such a basic ask - why hasn’t this been implemented after 5 YEARS?

Here to add my voice as well! Statuses are incredibly useful, and allowing the same color to be used would allow boards AND teams to be way more organized and gain much needed visual clarity. Cannot wait for this feature enough!

I would like the ability to set any HEX code as a status color.

And to set multiple statuses to the same color, or no color.
