Automated Export to Excel per item & subitems, with automated email

I would like to be able to create an automation, either linked to a set date column on the main item or a status column, whereby an automated email is issued out to customers (customer email pulled via email column) with an exported excel document of their project.

I’ve played around with a few ideas and the best option I could see online ‘Gorilla Apps’ doesn’t allow for subitems to be exported, which is imperative for the automation to work as required (main task holds key project information & subitems include a breakdown into each individual plot / delivery). It also doesn’t seem to allow for the automated email to be linked to an email column, only a pre-selected email you have to type into the automation or to a user.

Any suggestions would be most welcome as it’s driving me up the wall!

To recap…

  • Automation via date column or email column on main item.
  • This creates an automated excel export for that particular main item (including sub items).
  • The excel export is then issued as an automated email via email column on main item.
