Automatically link to a pulse on another board

I have 2 boards, one is Contacts and the other is Activities. On the Contacts board, each contact has emails/meetings logged in each’s contacts pulse. Is there a way to add a column to my Activities board that links to the pulses from my Contacts board without having to manually go in and add the pulse links? The two boards could be connected by contact name.

Hello, @jw_sxm

ou can achieve this by linking the Contacts board pulses to the Activities board using the “Connect Boards” column. Here’s how:

Create Both Boards:
Set up your Contacts board (with contact details) and your Activities board (where you want to link the pulses).
Add a “Link to Item” Column:
In the Activities board, add a new column of type “Link to Item.”
Connect this column to the Contacts board.
Link Contacts to Activities:
Now, you can link specific contacts (pulses) from the Contacts board to the Activities board using this column.
Choose the relevant contact from the Contacts board, and it will automatically show up in the Activities board.

Remember to select the entire contact row (not just specific fields) and customize the order of columns as needed.

I hope this info is helpful to you.

Hey @jw_sxm welcome to the monday.com community.

As Gregory mentioned above you can definitely use the connected boards columns to do so- but I think it might be a much better experience to use the emails and activities feature in the CRM product. Have you seen it before?
My team are running a little show and tell on how it works next week if you’re interested?

Hi @Renae-JTsCloud, I am using the emails and activities feature for our activities board! It is very helpful. Thanks!

That is helpful, thanks @gregory109 !
