Automation: Create sub-item with update (checklist) that can be ticked off by everyone
Would like this automation, as we would like to use monday for structured top down processes, where we have standardized checklists for each sub-item that can be ticked off. We need this to make sure we follow the same “recipe” each time on a granular level.
At the moment we need to make workarounds where we Copy/paste Notion templates into sub-items when new sub-item are created, as the project move down the funnel.
We would like to use the checklist in the update section instead of a lot of sub-item and the checkbos column, as there as smaller tasks. If we had a subtask for each, we whould have 100´s of subitems on each project and loose overview.
I would absolutely love this automation! Not sure if any updates have been made regarding this. Currently we are having to go to the sub-items update and we use a shortcut keyword to populate a checklist template that we created using Gorgias. It is not Ideal and all and do not use it as much as we would like and have also ended up with about 50 sub-item tasks for each “project”
This is a must to avoid 100’s of subitems. It also eats away at the number of api automations you get per month. It would be great it subitems just had a check list similar to planner in Teams. Setting up a dependency for each subitem, with many subitems is a nightmare.
Also why are there so few subitem automations in the marketplace if its a major feature?
I’m also looking for a solution to automatically add the monday checklist to an update attached to a subitem. I’ve tested using the “and then create an update with this text” suggested in this thread but the update is attached to the primary item, not the subitem, and the html code suggested by MTCmonz results in a bulleted list not the checklist.
