In activity log, it would be amazing if there was a feature that allowed you to roll back changes in the board to a specific date or specific item that was changed.
This is really helpful when you need to make big changes to your board and require managements approval and team feedback before you start using it. Currently, rolling back changes you made on a board manually is a punishment. You need to go through EVERY CHANGE YOU MADE and undo them. And also undo the changes made to specific items.
Currently there is no control Z on Monday, but the feature for restoring deleting and archived items exists. Why not revert changes on an item from the activity log as well?
This could be a super helpful feature and would save board builders hours.
But to me what it would make this request as feature complete it’s to be able to download a board definition (without the data) in JSON/YAML, and being able to update other boards based on this.
So it would allow for consistent deployment between environments (dev/demo/prod, for example), plus a trackeable and fully controlled way to promote changes, along with the code of any app that you might be using on top.
Great idea! A rollback feature in the activity log for specific dates or items would save a lot of time, especially for board admins needing approvals. Instead of manually undoing every change, being able to revert to a previous state would be a huge time-saver. I hope Monday.com adds this feature!
