Can monday.com randomly select 3 items for me every month and then notify this to colleague?

Hi all, does anyone know if it is possible for monday.com to select 3 items at random from a particular group on a particular day of every month and then send this to a person.

To clarify, we need to conduct monthly file checks on our clients near the end of each month. Our clients are grouped by number of policies per month so ideally we would like monday.com to be able to randomly select 3 client files that need to be checked and then notify my colleague to action this.

I’ve tried to research this but I cannot seem to find anything. If anyone has any ideas I’d greatly appreciate it.

I recommend that you look at using a platform like Make to do this. It would be relatively easy to do what you are wanting this way.

Basically, you would read the group’s items, adding a random number in an aggregated array and select the top 3 items, then create a notification and/or update or status change to notify your colleague.
