Hi, first of all the platform is really great.
I have a question - why there is no simple automation to change a value of the mirror column.
I have a setup where there is a master board that has all the projects in it. Whenever a project us created and assigned to a client a separate board gets created.
I know I can show status columns from the master sheet as mirror columns but I can’t see a way to do this:
If I change the status of a connected board to example Working on I want to affect the mirror column on the master board and change the status also to working on.
Simply put - can a change of status of an item change the status of a mirror column?
Is there a way to do it, or is there a better way I did not think of.
Thank you
Hi, was there un update on this request, i’m kind of needing the same thing. T
here is one central task request board, and then individual boards for each colleague. Once a task is assigned to a specific colleague, it is automatically created on their individual board.
From the main board, once assigned, the task moves from the “Requested” group to the “Current Project” group. That part works fine. What I’m trying to do now is receive input from the individual boards to update the status of the task in the “Current Project” group when the status changes on the respective individual board.
The only way I’ve found so far is to mirror the status column from each individual board and set up an automation:
“When the status changes to [something] on the individual board, change the status to [something] on the main board.”
However, this requires manually copying all status options from the original board for the automation to work. Then, I would need to hide the column, and I’d have to repeat this process for every status and every colleague—making it quite cumbersome.
Is there any other way to centralize different updates from multiple boards into a single task?
What I want is for everyone to have their own individual task board, where they don’t see everyone else’s responsibilities, but I also don’t want to manually check all boards to track what’s happening.”
