I have spent so much time trying to figure this out and I just don’t know what to do. Google Forms are so ugly and don’t allow for the formatting that I need.
I have a board called “Intake” where incoming leads are listed. When a lead is referred to a subcontractor, an email is sent to them with the lead information and that includes the link to a Referral Feedback WorkForm. The Referral Feedback form responses show up in a different board called “Intake - Feedback.”
I am trying to figure out how to connect the WorkForm response in the “Intake - Feedback” board to the parent lead in the “Intake” board. I really only NEED a checkbox in the “Intake” board to indicate that the feedback form was received, however it would be truly amazing if the WorkForm response actually created a subitem for the specific ‘parent’ lead.
Yes, they are two completely separate boards. Right now as the WorkForms are received in Intake - Feedback, I am manually adding a check to the corresponding lead in Intake.
Ideally it would be great to have the form create a subitem on a lead with the form information, but the only thing I technically NEED is the check in the checkbox.
No, not out of the question. They’re ugly but I’d be willing to deal with it for the convenience of having this set up properly.
Our monday from app EasyForm supports URL Parameters, meaning you can add to your “Intack - Feedback” board a Connected Board column pointing to the “Intake” board. Then you can create a formula that builds a unique feedback form link pointing to the source lead, and send it in the subcontractor email.
Notice that if you want to see the feedback from the lead and the lead from the feedback, you need to check the “Create a two-way connection” box when setting up the Connected board column on your monday board.
Our URL Param’s feature has three different settings
Simply pre-fill a form question
Hide - in addition to setting a value, it hides the question from the form so the end user does not see it
Read-only - the user can see the set value but can’t edit it.
@FWCAIOffice If google forms is not out of the question, you can use our app called Google Forms Integration Plus and utilize this automation in order to assign the subitem to the relevant item (based on the response in the form). See example →
