How to add a past email to a contact or a lead?

Hello, I’m seeking guidance on the procedure for adding a past email to a contact or lead. I would greatly appreciate assistance with this process. Thank you in advance.

At this time, it’s not possible to retroactively include email threads into an Update or item from before you set up the email integration or Emails & Activities app.

You would have to add them manually, unfortunately.

hi @hazel.palon ! If you’re trying to attach a past email to a contact or lead, Monday unfortunately doesn’t have a native way to import historical emails into the Emails & Activities widget. It only logs emails starting from the moment the integration is connected.

If you need to bring older emails into the timeline, a good workaround is using Email to Tasks for monday.com.
It lets you:

:incoming_envelope: Forward any past email (or an entire thread) directly into Monday
:pushpin: Attach it to the correct contact or lead
:four_o_clock: Keep the original timestamp
:paperclip: Include all attachments
:thread: Preserve the thread so the history stays readable

It’s basically the easiest way to add old conversations into CRM records without losing context.
