Add "old" emails to the timeline of emails & activities within the CRM solution

How to properly add email to the emails & activities within the CRM solution. And I have the email integration turned on.

Since you don’t want to show all emails from an email address and only want to show the email related to the opportunity, the filter states “only” show related items is on.

But how can you add “old” emails not sent from monday to an opportunity?

So add “old” emails to the timeline of emails & activities within the CRM solution.

Hey @hharbers,

Just to clarify, are you essentially looking to connect existing emails that you’ve sent outside of monday (/prior to setting up the emails and activities app) to opportunities in your board? Let me know if I’ve misunderstood!

Hey @BiancaT,

thanks for your response!

I indeed want to add emails that are not sent from monday.com. It is in the opportunities board and in the emails and activities app.

Thanks for getting back to me!

If I am understanding correctly, if you’re interested in logging emails from your email server, that haven’t been sent from within the platform, you can do this as long as you have this particular setting configured:

All outgoing emails sent from your connected email address will log into the app. Is this what you’re looking for?

Dear Bianca,

I am trying to add emails which were sent from the Gmail, before I singed up to Monday.com.
For example, I have customer Mike, with whom I exchanged 20 emails, before I came to the Monday.com world. How can I import these 20 emails in the Monday.com app?

Hey tommy,

I am afraid the app doesn’t work retroactively, so isn’t currently possible to pull those past emails! I apologise for the setback here

Hi Bianca,

Thank you very much for your reply.
Hopefully in the future this will change.

My wishes for a wonderful day.

Hi,

I solved it another way.

On a separate board, I uploaded all the notes. On that board, I created a column with date and client name. With an automation, I link the notes to the customer. In the customer board, a mirror column was created to the board with the notes. With each customer, I can now see the old notes/ annotations.

@TommySalparo Maybe this is a solution for you guys.
