We have a board where we list all our quotes sent to clients. There is a status column with various values eg ‘Sent’ ‘Chased’ ‘Accepted’ ‘Declined’ etc.
If accepted, an Automation moves it to a new board (e.g. jobs in progress).
If declined, it moves down the board to a ‘declined’ group and if its never actually accepted/declined then it gets moved to down to a group ‘archived’ after a certain lenght of time.
I’d like to be able to have a count, probably on a dashboard, that has counts of the number of ‘Accepted, Declined and Archived’ quotes. Ideally incremented when the status is changed to Accepted/Declined etc.
I’ve had a dig around but can’t find any discussion.
That should be pretty simple. Create a new dashboard, it will have you select the ‘board(s)’ you want to connect. Then add a chart, your X axis will be status and Y will be count
It was the fact that the ‘accepted’ quotes move to a new board (and progress through a series of boards) thus its hard to total the ‘accepted’ jobs.
Your right that the declined ones that move down to a new group are easy to count on a chart. I was hoping there was some way of just incremeting a count e.g. When status changes from ‘Quote Sent’ to ‘Quote accepted’ add 1 to ‘Accepted count’ . Similarly for Declined and Expired quotes.
We have a potential work around of duplicating the ‘accepted’ row, and moving the original over to the ‘work in progress’ board as per normal, and the copy down to a separte new group. So the quotes board will have 3 groups, The Quotes Sent, Quotes Declined Archive and Quotes Accepted Archive, which can all be counted on a Dashboard chart.
Another workaround that I think would work would be to connect both the original board and the new board that the accepted quotes move to, to the dashboard and then just select which groups you want the chart to include.
Hi @Sam1972!
Sounds like you’ve already built a really organized workflow — love that!
For what you’re looking to do (count the number of Accepted, Declined, and Archived quotes based on status changes), I highly recommend checking out Time in Status.
