We need this feature aswell!
Is there a way to lock down a saved view for the team on a specific board so they can add filters for themselves (ie search for themselves to see what is assigned to them) but won’t wreck the saved view for everyone else?

Any updates or recent workarounds ?
For us, it’s one of the main pet peeves that does not go in favor of Monday in our organisation. End users are confused with all the views and columns. In a board, we should be able to show only one or 2 views to a certain group of users. It gests worse, if you want to invite an outside supplier to a specific board.
The other one is when a new column is added in a board, that column is added by default to all board filters. This should be a opt-in situation, not a opt-out. (I know I can hide columns to certains users but it’s still a pain).
And why can’t we lock the tabs in a specific order for the user? At least, let us reorder them like we would with tabs in a web browser.
Our running joke is that Monday is always this close to being really great. I love Monday, but those are 2 examples of the little things that could be so much better.

I wish monday would invest more into improving their existing features rather than just coming up with more and more features. Maybe try hiring someone from Airtable’s team

I am trying to sell monday to my colleagues but this is one of the main issues that is confusing them

Hi everyone just an update here! I spoke with our product managers and they let me know that our support for lock views will be coming out very shortly while reordering and hiding is planned and estimate to be released early next year.

I agree with this and will add the ability to limit views to specific members. For example, dashboards and calendar available to view only by Group A, Filtered view available to view and modify by Group B. Master view available to Admin Group only.
Hi, for now in a board, when a new column is added, the column is added to all views automatically. Does Monday plan to add a configuration option for this? Or is it planned to change it so we have to manually add the column to existing views? When we add columns into a board, it is very tedious to remove them from all the views individually. It’s confusing users if we leave them there. As for the locking of a view that’s great and a start. Cant wait to see the full rollout of the new ‘Monday 2.0’
It would be good to also add permissions on views while they are at it. Thanks. Wow 2 years to implement this feature.

Finally, I am glad to see this feature is on the product roadmap. Although I wish this was available sooner and we did not have to wait until the next year.

I was wondering if this would also allow us to set different default views for different users? For example, we have a board that contains all information for all teams, but would like to set the default view for each specific team, as that team’s filtered view.

Can this be added to the main table? I have users who aren’t allowed to view column info from the main table, yet I have no way of restricting access for this.
