Hello neighbors!
I want stats, metrics, analytics whatever what call them…
I am an admin to my account of Monday.com and i would like to have an analysis of how members use the application. For example, I would like to see which boards are the most viewed or created or how an individual member creates/communicate/active it is and what is the use that has made.
The stats in the app is very limited at this moment so i am looking forward to having news soon about this!
Have a nice day!
Hey, Monday, our company would also love to see this type of data. Especially communication and activity part.
How long it takes a team member to write a reply or at least thumb up an update he was mentioned in
Was a task done on time or was 10 days overdue.
This kind of data would be really useful in evaluating employee performance. Hope this can be added to the software in the future.
Hi @Daria
Thank you for sharing!
We’ll make sure to report your needs to the relevant product team here.
Regarding knowing whether tasks were done on time or overdue, have you discovered deadline mode? This can definitely helps visualize this type of information
Let me know if that might help?
Cheers,
Julia
Thanks for the quick reply. We’ve been using deadline mode since day 1, it’s great for tracking current tasks.
What we want is to see the bigger picture. For example I’d like to be able to see all the tasks across all the boards assigned to employee “Kelly” in December 2019. Which of the tasks did Kelly complete on time? Where did she have problems? Should we give her a bonus or additional training on that particular subject she is consistently late on?
With the deadline mode once the status changes to “Done” I can’t see if the task was overdue or completed within the timeframe unless I check each task individually.
I played with some formulas and found a solution to have this data on display within a board, however we have 8-10 active projects, and pulling out this data from separate boards and consolidating it to one is a lot of manual labor.
That’s just one of the examples how we’d like to use data from Monday.com.
I’ve been thinking maybe there’s an integration with some database we could use?
Thank you for all of the feedback @Unique and @Daria - we are looking into more ways to generate reporting (both from an Admin’s perspective and in order to get the bigger picture of what is going on with the projects / processes you are managing).
One feature (which is available on the Pro and above plans) is the advanced Stats. You can access it by clicking on your Avatar --> Admin --> Stats --> Advanced.
Let us know what you think =)
Omri
Thanks @Omri_Klag
Are admin stats something that is still work in progress or already an active feature? If it’s active maybe there’s a bug in our account?
We are on a Pro Plan, and this is what I’m seeing
To be honest I got a little excited to see the data on Top Communicators and Trending boards, but they don’t quite reflect the reality. Looking forward to this feature working properly!
Hey @Daria,
I can’t tell from the screenshot what isn’t working well for you, the screenshot is showing the feature I was referring to - however if this does not reflect reality, I’d love to understand the issue, can you please write to us at Support@modnay.com?
We will be more than happy to solve this with you.
Omri
It could be because of the Private boards that are flying around in your account. This could be a very helpful feature BUT does not work for us at all because it does not read Private board data and our ENTIRE account usage operates solely on PRIVATE boards. that screenshot you have shows NOTHING on my account. :S
@Omri_Klag the issue is exactly what @alejencia has described. Stats are only shown for public boards, however most of the boards we work in are private. Is there a way to show analytics for private boards too?
BIG +1 for this topic, and more importantly its attention and resolution. Echo the need for stats to include private and shareable boards and board activity (at a minimum). 95% of our boards (at least) are private and must be due to our industry and client base. If not in the advanced statistics, can the API at least be enhanced so we can pull it ourselves? And/or, detailed activity logs made available for consumption into our data warehouse so we can use our BI tools to create our own management dashboards?
Not only is this generally interesting and useful information to consume (at the project, program or account level), but I am increasingly being asked for this information from various executives in our firm for a variety of reasons - and it is critical I am able to provide it. Internally I am the overall implementation lead for Monday.com - I know intuitively the value we’re getting in some areas, and also know we could be getting a lot more value in others, but without this data (to the user and specific activity level), it’s an inefficient process at best to determine where to target our efforts (and celebrate) - not to mention continue to justify our investment in Monday.com as a tool. When we cannot easily respond with confidence regarding how we’re using Monday.com and what we use it for (and where we could focus a little more effort/resource), it very quickly begins to erode leadership interest and support for the tool, and sometimes even the focus on process efficiency and improvement it represents.
I also want to echo the group’s interest in the above-mentioned tracking capabilities. Specifically, I’d like to have stats regarding whether tasks are completed on-time or if they were overdue, and if so by how many days.
I understand that what makes Monday great is the ability for your team to shift to changing conditions by changing deadlines and moving resources around in a quick and efficient manner. That said if we do push deadlines, I want analytics to track which deadlines were pushed and how many days they were pushed.
When that “Done” button is pressed, I want the system to track in a hidden column the date and time it was pressed so that I can go back later and compare it to the deadline we initially assigned. Currently, I have an “Initial Deadline” column that only I can edit. If I had the “Date Completed” column automatically created, I could do the manual comparison by exporting to excel. This would be helpful so that I could give meaningful data to management so they understand the benefit of Monday.
Was this issue ever solved? I am currently in the same situation and cannot seem to see if Monday.com has created a solution to this.
Hi, @AudreyStretch - There are advanced performance views in the Enterprise plan, but if you are on Pro and want other options, there are two apps out you may find useful:
Bottlenecks - https://monday.com/marketplace/89
Funnels - https://monday.com/marketplace/93
Both of these approved Marketplace Apps give you more insight into how your work processes are going, but in different ways.
@Unique : Did you find a SOlution for this? I am trying to figure the team adpotion as well. PLease share some insights of how your manageing this part ?
Hola, hay alguna novedad con este tema? También ando buscando algo similar
Hey there everyone! We’ve developed Master Activity Logs, which acts as a ‘Master Activity Log’ for user activities in multiple boards. It offers advanced reporting based on that data as well. Hopefully that helps with some of these requests!
