The inability to connect to a mirrored column is an absolutely huge problem for my company and may result in us having to leave Monday. I’ve heard from some people that using a tool like Make or Zapier can help overcome this. Has anyone figured out a way to overcome this? It’s amazing it is not an out of the box capability.

Make and Zapier are no-code platforms that allow you to use the monday.com API directly. It is likely that what you are wanting to accomplish can be done using these tools.
That aside, can you give more detail about what you mean by “connect to a mirrored column”?

Absolutely. When I try to send an email or an SMS to an identified group of contacts in a board that has mirrored columns, I can’t choose fields from those columns to in add to the email/SMS. This makes setting up automations almost useless for our business model
In addition to Make, there are also apps in the marketplace that will copy standard column values to/from mirror columns. One of those apps is one we created called Column Magic.
