My workspace form disappeared after deleting empty columns on my board

In the process of migrating data from Zoho Creator. I will be embedding the workspace form in our website so volunteers can sign up. Data was already imported to Monday.com. I deleted some multi-select columns that were empty and not needed. But now my form disappeared. All I see in the trash are empty columns. Not sure if there was some hidden data in the empty multi-task columns that caused the form to be deleted. I am still learning and some of those columns may have been mirror columns … would that delete the form? Do I have to rebuild the form?

Hi Melissa. This happened to me TWICE on two unrelated boards in the past day. I made some minor language edits to a form and every field on the form reverted back, all questions were not viewable on the form, all of the conditional vanished, and the form completely reset, and all clients saw was a SUBMIT button. I thought it was some anomaly, and luckily it was just a draft process that it not yet live… but it happened again today (on a form that was LIVE and the most crucial to our process). I reached out to monday.com Tech Support, but all they offered was to clear my cookies and/or use a different browser.

This type of error would be very difficult to “accidentally” recreate without a reset option (which does not exist) and definitely sounds like a glitch, but I have had no luck finding answers.

Has anyone else every experienced this?

Hello maximtimeclock Wrote to @melissabee,

Deleting columns that appeared empty might have inadvertently removed data or settings associated with your workspace form, especially if there were hidden or system-generated data tied to those columns.

Mirror columns in Monday.com are typically used to display data from other columns. Deleting a column that serves as a source for a mirror column can sometimes affect the visibility or functionality of related elements, but it generally should not delete an entire form.

It’s unlikely that deleting multi-select or mirror columns directly caused the form to disappear unless there was critical data or settings tied specifically to those columns that the form relied upon.

Recover or Rebuild Your Form Verify if the deleted form or any related components (like sections or views) are in the Monday.com trash bin.
If the form is not recoverable from the trash, you may need to rebuild it.
Reflect on any dependencies or connections between columns and other components in Monday.com.
