I want to create an automation so that when a status changes an email is sent out FROM A SHARED outlook mailbox. We have multiple people approving requests coming into our Monday board and whoever changes the status the email should come from the “team outlook mailbox”. Firstly, is this possible and secondly I have had no success in using the outlook recipe as it says I need to “ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it” - however I can’t find any documentation relating to what permissions I need to ask my admin to grant. Can anyone help with both of these questions?

Yes, I have had success with using a shared inbox for automations of this type. You will need to reach out to your admin to grant permission to use the outlook integration (I sent an email letting them know what I was using it for and needed access). You will also need to reach out to IT for the password to the shared inbox as the outlook integration requires a password to set it up.
Hi @JamieVassalli, thanks for sharing your experience and I’m glad you got it to work.
Unfortunately, I’m trying to do the same thing, but with a Shared Mailbox which is a special type of account that doesn’t have a password (users must be delegate access by an admin). I believe this is what @neilpenry was asking about, too.
