A funny thing happened on the way to marking some updates in the update feed/inbox as “read”…
I deleted an update that did not pertain to me and it was removed from the item it was added to. I was not aware that the Update Feed/Inbox was the same for everyone. I thought it was just my view and if I deleted an update, that it only deleted it from my inbox and not everyone’s.
Has anyone else come across this problem? Have you found a workaround that does not involve you tracking down the person that made the update to inform them and then tracking down someone who would have received it in their Outlook inbox so we can get it back to the user that made the update so they can make the update again…?..
I know the trash bin does not store deleted updates, but it sure would be nice if it did.
