Rolling up status from items in one board to another

Hello all,

thanks in advance for your help!

We have one board where we have the overall tasks that need to get accomplished in a project, for example I will say Financial Controls. In this case we have another board with detailed tasks for accomplishing those financial transactions. In the detailed board we have 12 items that need to be completed before on the main board the status can be changed to done.

Is there a way for us to accomplish this with a workflow or automation?

Hi Grace,

You could use Make or Zapier (or use the API) to monitor the completion status of those 12 items in your detailed tasks board.
Once all these tasks are marked “Done” it would automatically update the Financial Controls task on your main board.
