Are there any updates on this feature? We need it to be native.
I’ve used the “Same Item Multiple Boards” app and it works well, but the control we have over what to setup is limited and the automations involved in the integration aren’t managed by you really.
Also, it is extra cost for a feature that every decent PM tool has as native, it doesn’t make sense that an organization as big as Monday hasn’t implemented it yet. My clients have Enterprise plan and they still need to pay extra for things other tools do native and better.

It’'s wild that monday.com has not figured this out yet. honestly holds my company back in so many ways, it’s a massive waste of time having to update the “same” item across multiple boards.

We joined Monday.com recently and I’m seriously questioning if we made the right choice when this absolutely core functionality is not included as a native feature. The whole point was to handle all of this in one place, not have to frankenstein external apps that add additional costs and do a bunch of workarounds that don’t do what every other software of this nature does easily.

We actually built an app specifically for this use case. Mirror Item Multiple Boards lets you:
- Keep one item synced across unlimited boards
- Update anywhere, changes reflect everywhere instantly
- Add subitems, comments, and files in the sync
- Exclude certain columns
- See live sync status in using the sync table feature
How it works: You just select an item, choose which boards to mirror it to, and that’s it. Any updates sync automatically in real-time.
You don’t have to manually link anything. Our app automatically checks for common columns and syncs those. A critical feature that we have is to exclude certain common columns from syncing -
- To give you an example, you could have the same item live on multiple boards with different names for each (if you exclude the name column).
