Adding to this conversation in 2025 as this issue is still as relevant as it was in 2021…
This feature is critically needed in order for Monday.com to function as a project management tool. My team needs the subitem kanban view to see what needs to be done without clicking through the parent task (otherwise they could use the main table view).
This is an incredibly basic project management functionality that is missing from making this tool usable. We shouldn’t need to purchase plug-ins to make the tool functional.
PLEASE PUT THIS ON THE ROADMAP
This tool will remain a glorified task manager until subtask management capabilities are implemented. Being able to sort and address items at the subtask level in Kanban (or other views) is essential for project management and agile.
