We have a main board that ties to an inventory board. As subitems are created, a new ‘sku’ is entered to link to the given inventory item and various mirrored columns are populated. For various reasons, we need to introduce a new inventory board. During transition, apparently can’t just change the board connection to the new inventory board because the sku content disappears. So need to add this new connection as a new subitem column (U-Item Master) connected to the new inventory board. So now we need to copy the skus entered into the existing board connection into the new board connection. How?
Hey GaryB, It would be manually connected unless you have tool like make to create automation and link to new column, how many items you have on board if there are more than 200 then I would recommend to use make to do that, I can also help you with that.

Thx for response. We just started with make and was heading that direction. But was wanting to double check to see if there was anything inherent in Monday.com that we were missing. Will connect if we run into a dead end. You can send reference list of your work to Gary.bronson@zagg.com.
Hello @garybronson7
If I understand this correctly, you added a new connect column in your Main board and linked it to the new inventory board, and now you just need an automation that will connect all the existing items/subitems from the main board to the new inventory board, yes?
I got an easy solution for you! Check out Connected Boards Automations! It’s a top-tier app labeled “Editor’s Choice” and has a perfect 5/5 average rating in the marketplace.
Here are some of the automations that can help you.
Try it out with the free plan! I’m sure you’ll find it useful! Use it for connecting items/subitems to multiple boards with additional conditions, and syncing column data between boards, copying mirror column data to another column, and many more functionalities!
Best regards!
