Unable to add a person /owner to an item in a board

I am unable to add an owner/person to a column on a board. I am the board owner. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @lkato ,

It appears that the owner column in this case is a “Summary column” meaning that this is a summary of owners from sub items that will display on the parent item.

You would either need to add a sub-item and add an owner to the sub-item for it to populate in this column or you could create a regular owner column that is not a summary of the sub-items.

You can tell it is a summary column because of the small green line below the name of the column.

Hi Leo,

It seems to be a “Connect board” column. Delete that column and add a “people” column instead.

Thanks. Yes, it is a connected column. I wanted it connected to the Account. I will delete and create a new “people” column.
