We are looking to be able to update multiple contacts from one Activity in the CRM. For instance, we host an event and 20 contacts attend. We want to create that activity once, tag 20 client contacts in it and have their contact be updated that they attended the event. Or a phone call with 3 contacts. They may be from different companies as well.
I know we can do it individually on each contact but that’s not very efficient.
Monday support confirmed this is not an available feature at this time. Anyone have a 3rd party app to suggest that I can use? Or a some automations to make this happen? Thanks!

You don’t need a third party app for this.
Simply create an automation for “create an activity” using the emails and activities automations.
Create a text field.
Create a status field for triggering the automation.
Then once you have that even, you simply mass select the cleitns in your board and trigger the switch - this will automatically create the activity for the selected clients.
The selection of the 20 contacts, would need to be manual (unless you have some status column to identify which contacts attended)
Hi @shayan.moussawi, thank you so much! This is really helpful. I have it set up to create an update, but because its an automation it would be a generic update each time correct? Is there a way to write a customized summary and have that customized summary, for the call let’s say, update all X amount clients?

Yes, I believe so.
As I mentioned you would need to have a Text column, this text column is put as a placeholder in the Emails and Activities (create activity) automation.
Before switching the status on all the items, you simply select all items and fill the Text column with the Update text you want to write.
