When are we going to be able to use the result of a formula column in an automation?

Can I ask your use case? As of now, Monday doesn’t fully support the ability to directly use the result of a formula column in automations. However, the team is continuously working on enhancing the platform’s features, and this could be something that is added in a future update. 
In the meantime, a possible workaround is to create a mirrored column that captures the formula’s result and then use that column in your automations.
