Use Forms to edit/update existing items and columns

I too would like an update. We have a list of things we want to use this feature for - and want to implement them this year to reduce some of the manual work we are doing to combine information into one item. I would also love to be able to use a form where they select an item, but the info they fill out in the form creates a subitem.

YES! I agree with the creation of a subitem using a form!!!

Thereā€™s a recording of the Evolution of Workforms session here and subitems is one of the things they are working on

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the great feedback. @Galit-monday.com and the rest of the boards team has been reading over your feedback as they are finishing up the development of the feature to give submitted the ability to update existing items via form.

More information:

  • Submitters that are unidentified or that donā€™t follow the user & board permissions will be limited to 3 submits per submission per form

  • The alpha release of this feature is expected to start within 2-3 weeks

Due the complexity and sensitivity of the feature, the team is carefully working on feature and are hoping to have it fully released in the next few months.

Thank you for your patiences and make sure to keep an eye out. This feature is coming to your WorkForms soon!

Could you put us on the list for the Alpha Version of this feature?

Hi Juliette, can I be added to the alpha for this?

Can we also be on the alpha release please? This is going to fix a big issue for us, so thank you for working on the solution!

Thatā€™s great - Iā€™m currently using SuperForms but it will be great to have a natively integrated solution. When you say ā€œlimited to 3 submits per submission per formā€, does that mean that someone who is either not assigned permission to the board or someone who is not a monday.com user at all can submit an edit to an item via the form but only 3 times per item OR they can only submit an edit 3 times per form? If itā€™s the latter that seems very limiting to me and canā€™t compete with SuperForm. Hopefully you can provide more insight on this.

Would be happy to be an alpha tester as well, as we are currently using integrations to fulfill this requirement.

I would also love to help test this - if thereā€™s a list, please add me as well.

Hi Juliette, please add me to the Alpha testers. Thank you.

I would like to be added to the alpha testing!

Is it possible to join the Alpha testing group for this? We need a feature like this for client approvals, and were actively looking at Super Forms.

Me tooā€¦Iā€™d like to be added to the alpha testing. Please advise.

I really hope they answer this question. If a non-monday user is only able to update 3 items per form it will be essentially useless for my use case.

This is going to be a super important feature for follow up forms for a class that my company teaches. If you are reaching out to users for alpha testing I too would love to be put on that list.

Could you also add me to the list of alpha testers? Thanks

Good point, @MeiraPom

Hi! Can we also be on the alpha release? The name account is Sahilices.
Thankss

I would also love to be added to the alpha group, please! We have an immediate use case for it.
