View time tracking logs on date basis on dashboard

We have a sample board like this.

We can see the time tracking logs here.
How much effort the user has spent on which date can be viewed.

What I want is this;

Here, I want to be able to see how much effort the user has spent on a date in the dashboard graphs based on date.

However, in the graphs in the dashboard, I can only access the total duration of the time tracking. I cannot access the logs of the time tracking and their dates from the graphs.

Is it possible to access time tracking logs from graphs?

If possible, how is it done?
If not, is there an alternative way?

Thanks!

Hey Ekin. I have this prototype app available that will allow you to export time tracking session data cleanly into excel, what you could do is take that export, upload it to monday and then create charts based on that. We created this since there is no way to do what you’re asking natively.

I know there is a very good time reporting app created by WorkPerfect, called TimesheetPro. This app has all those reports builtin to it.

We use sub items to track time, one for each day per item that you work on. Issues with time tracking column is that we found that sometimes a timer is left on and its hard to audit this across many boards, so we use a numbers column instead. We also sync the data with our Master Board using our Master Data app which also can retain deleted, archived, and moved items, and subitems for long term reporting.

I have the same issue, and unfortunately I have not found a solution regardless of how many times I’ve seen complaints about this. We created a completion date column that sets the date for those hours to be logged.

Unfortunately if there was 6 hours spent on let’s say 11/30, and then 1 hour finished it on 12/1 then the 7 total hours would be logged on 12/1.

@ekinsogut @tfoster if an add-on is an option, I suggest taking a look at the Analytics & Reports by Screenful. With it, you can create custom charts using data from Monday time tracking columns, and place them on monday dashboard, or schedule via email.

The date ranges you set on charts will refer to the time when hours were logged. So if you log time to an item during multiple days, each time log entry is allocated to the correct day in your reports.
