We tried out Discussions but it has too many issues that resulted in it not being helpful to us.
You can’t tag team names, so if I want to tag everyone I have to do so individually. Also the drop down menu to choose the people to tag cuts off on the side so you can’t fully read it.
If you get tagged, you get an email and notification about it but no context as to where to look so unless everyone remembers to specifically check there, people miss the info. No way to see if they saw it either.
Any news on the chat?
Also waiting for this for over a year.
Just a simple private message system would go a long way
sad to see that this is not on the roadmap for next year. I will start to look for alternatives unfortunately

@Julia-monday.com any news about chat from Monday app? Please consider this important feature to increase efficiently our communication with ours customers. In our case just to teach and help ours customers is already hardwork, is impossible additionally requesting ours customers install another their don’t usually use app, Slack… Please don’t let Slack as a barrier to add Monday native chat feature.
Just to clarify, I spect with ability of Voice message. Not all people have time to typing… Monday team should consider this communication factor and add it as part of native feature

+1 For internal chat feature. There is no where to carry a conversation with the internal team inside monday. I can tag a member and give them instructions, but if theres a question that requires dialogue, we have to continue the convo via Google Chat making us leave monday.com to do so.
In case anyone is also looking for a alternative with chat, i switched to Nifty.pm a few months ago. It has a great chat feature. The boards are not as customizable as monday, they are more on kanbam style but it works well for my projects.
Any update on if this feature is in the works? We’d love to see a chat option, especially if it could be tethered to an item. The ability to upload files through this feature would also be a huge plus!
