Mirror Column - Select Entire Board or Group

Hi @Julietteb,
Any ballpark timeframe on when this feature might be released? It’s been raised since Jan '20.
Thanks,
Peter

I’m also interested in an update on this, it’s a crucial part missing within Monday to roll up boards into the dash overview. Happy to beta test if its available.

Same here! And this topic has not “been solved”.

@Julietteb a lot of few more months as passed. Any update?

@Julietteb @BiancaT

Is there a decision yet?

I configured my entire workflow and unfortunately the lack of this feature destroyed the entire efficiency of my boards.

On board X I have group A where there are active interests and group B where there are losing interests. This board is connected to the list of events (to the appropriate event via connect board) that we organize. We want to have a summary of sales on board B, but now we are shown the value of both won and lost business. On board B, in the connect board column, we would only need to display the values from table X from group A, and not all from groups A and B as it is now.

A reply would be nice

Hi everyone! I just met with our team to try to get more information about the feature and where it stands. Our team has been looking into adding the ability to select entire boards or groups in the mirror column settings to automatically include all relevant items without needing to manually update selections.

Since there are many other features within board capabilities that are expected to be released by end of year, our team is not able to add it to the roadmap before the end of 2024.

We understand that Implementing this would significantly enhance the efficiency and reliability of workflows, particularly for high-level board scenarios where aggregated data from multiple low-level boards is essential for accurate project management and reporting.

In the meantime, there are some great apps and workarounds from our community that can help with your workflows. If there are any changes we will announce them here first:)

I cant find any workaround, do you have suggestions?

Hi @BiancaT , any update on this feature request. It will be critical for our organization to have this feature implemented.

This is a MAJOR Monday.com flaw and needs to be resolved ASAP. The data is already in Monday and should be able to be mirrored in full on new boards, not by selecting every item. Please update for this feature.

I completely understand the frustrations with the current limitations of the mirror column. Having the option to select “Entire Board” or specific groups would really streamline the process, especially since low-level boards are always changing. Accurate roll-ups are crucial for effective project management and client billing.

Thanks for keeping us updated on the team’s considerations!

By the way, if you need a little break, you might enjoy some laughs at ALL FUNNY PUNS It’s a fun way to lighten the mood amidst all the project planning!

It would be very important to add a restriction in the case of selecting connect bard.

Our case. We have a reservation table A. We assign an Event (parent element - main on table B) to each reservation, additionally we have each hour of the show as a subelement to the parent element on table B. Now when we select the main element for reservation, we can mistakenly assign an hour from any other event. It would be good to be able to limit the connect board column to be able to select only subelements from the parent element.

YAS! YES!

This would be super to be implemented.
I needed to change 2 boards completely in order to have my connected boards & mirrored columns shown correctly.

Same time, you cannot move 1 item from a board via automation to a subitem on another board which was than on it’s time mirrored to another board.

This would solve anything!
