@SusanBrokhin - I agree this is frustrating. Would you be able to try the workaround that I posted here (No Longer Able to map connected board ("link to item") column in item creation automations - #18 by rckent)?
It’s not as efficient as the board mapping functionality, but it’s worked for us for the past few months.
Is there an update on the ability to keep columns connected when a new item is created or moved to a new board? The match column does not work in our case because I need to create new items in multiple boards at the same time. For example Board A item is approved; Create new items on Board B, C, D.
I was able to get the automation to work when I duplicate item on Board A then move to Board B. this does not allow me to create new items on multiple boards.
