I’ve transitioned our 25-person team onto Monday.com over the past few months. I’ve also architected systems and onboarded teams using Asana, Notion, and Airtable. Here are some of the top basic features that would seriously improve the core functionality of Monday.com:
Here’s just a quick list of fixes I hope they address:
Better Item Description
Want the ability to take live notes with full markdown formatting (without using a work doc) on an item. But “Item description” is only available on the Monday dev product or as a paid third-party app (request here)
Improve the Long text field
Has a 2000 character limit and no rich text abilities (request here)
Item card doesn’t come pre-installed in the Table view

Items can’t be shared across multiple boards
Anyone who’s used Asana knows how useful this feature is. (request here)
Email automations - can’t add attachments and no ability for rich text formatting
New items can’t be upserted (ie. update a record if it exists and create a new one if it doesn’t)
This creates many duplicates in your Sales CRM contacts and accounts boards (request here)
The “dedupe” feature doesn’t really merge two items together, it just archives one and doesn’t copy the said item’s column info into the non-archived item.
Move updates to a different item
Sometimes our team creates duplicate items or adds an update to the incorrect item. Would be great if we could easily move that update to a different item. (request here)

“Group by” exists only for the Monday dev product, doesn’t exist anymore on the work management product.
